Rock Harder: A Heavy Metal Romance (Slava Pasha Series Book 2) Page 2

  Chapter Three

The flight to Phoenix felt like one of the longest flights of my life, though in actuality, it was only a five hour flight. I just couldn’t wait to get to Elena. It had been a week since I saw her last; my body was jittery with nerves. Having to sit still was sheer drudgery; my legs ached to pace the aisle. It didn’t matter that I was sitting in first class, the seat affording me the space to stretch out my long legs. I forced my 6’5 frame to relax into the plush leather seats, focusing on keeping my breathing even. I pulled my phone out of my pocket; I fidgeted with the buttons, fighting the urge to text Elena and tell her I was coming early. I wanted to surprise her and at the same time I wanted to let her know I was coming. My mind battled back and forth on my desire to surprise and my desire to have her waiting for me upon arrival. I wanted her to be in the hotel room waiting on me so bad it hurt. The thought of her nude body lying on the hotel bed, her long blonde hair fanned out over the pillow made my cock throb. It took great effort not to lay all of my plans out to her. My right leg tapping impatiently against the floor.

Nik: Hey baby, how was your day?

Elena: Long. How was the show?

Nik: The show went great. I am so stoked.

Elena: I’m so happy for you.

  Nik: I miss you <3

  Elena: I miss you too

  Nik: What are you doing?

Elena: Just got in, going to run a hot bath and soak before bed.

  Nik: Think of me

Elena: Are you going to call tonight?

  Nik: Yes… Later…

Nik: Dude, I should just tell her

Kiev: NO, stick with your plan. Don’t be such a pussy

Nik: Are you sure that’s her address?

Kiev: Yes, I can’t believe you have never been to her house

Nik: She said she loved meeting up in hotels because it was erotic… who am I to deny her?

Kiev: Well, then maybe it won’t be so hard to get her to come on tour with us.

Nik: Do you think she will come?

Kiev: No clue dude, but when has a woman ever turned you down?!?!

  Nik: True story

Kiev: Let me know you made it safe

  Nik: Now who’s the pussy

  Kiev: Fuck you

  Nik: You wish

I quickly tucked my phone back in my pocket and closed my eyes. I thought of taking Elena on tour with us. All of the places I couldn’t wait to take her, the sights we would see. Before I knew it I had dozed off.

I woke up with a start when the Capitan’s voice came through the speakers, cracking, we would be arriving in just a few minutes. I chewed on my lower lip in nervous anticipation. As the plane touched down in Phoenix nerves of excitement took over and prickled along my skin. I shivered in anticipation. I was beyond ecstatic to be here. I rolled my shoulders as I stood up and pulled my bag out of the overhead compartment, working the stiffness out that had taken up residence, a sign that I wasn’t getting any younger. I was grateful that I didn’t have to pack much; standing at baggage claim would have killed me, I was too nervous to just sit around anymore. I had to get moving.

I wanted to surprise Elena with an extra day together in hopes to convince her to come out on tour with us. I know she has her practice but I hoped to get her to take at least a small vacation and globe trot. She said she loved being in hotels, it was erotic to her and that is exactly what she would get being on tour with me, night after night sleeping in a hotel. Before spending nights in hotels with her I would have disagreed. I had been living in them for the better part of twelve years. Once our band went big it seemed like we were never home. I didn’t even own a house nor have a permanent apartment. Whenever we had time off I would usually stay with Katinka at her house, that’s where all of us guys ended up when we were home and when we were in the studio in LA I rented a small furnished apartment by the week. But since our clandestine affairs, my opinion has drastically shifted. Now I can’t look at a hotel room without getting an erection, thinking of all the way I could have her in the room, all of the positions I wanted to try.

As I walked out of the airport to the rental car place adjacent, I felt the dry Arizona heat lick my skin. Kiev had reserved a car, knowing I wouldn’t have the patients to just wait around for a cab to drive me around. This is one of the times that I am thankful that my brothers knew me so well. Within minutes I was in the car, my bag tossed carelessly in the back seat.

I programmed her address into the GPS and started the car, headed in the direction of her house. As I followed the turns provided by the automated voice, I thought of how I would propose to Elena. Over a candle lit dinner, on one knee while she soaked in a bubble bath. Should I drop to one knee on her door step? I really needed to work out a plan. My mind racing of possible scenarios as to how I should propose, trying to determine the best way to do it. I never thought it would be this hard, boy likes girl, girl likes boy, boy asks girl, girl says yes. Why wasn’t there an instruction manual? The automated voice of the GPS shook me out of my dilemma, ‘You have arrived at your destination’.

I stopped the car and I looked up to see a large stunning contemporary home, sitting on Camelback Mountain. The interior was lit, showing off the floor to ceiling windows, the smooth clean lines and strong geometric shapes. The house was absolutely stunning. The pale cream stucco made the house pop against the desert backdrop. The natural landscaping gave the house an inviting appeal without looking overly done. The perfect combination of modern and natural design. My jaw dropped at the sheer grandeur. She was doing quite well for herself. I never know that oncologist made so much, especially as so young.

I reached for the door handle of the car when movement in the house caught my eye. Stilling, my eyes searched out the movement. I focused my eyes on the living room of the house. Elena was there, standing in front of the fireplace. She was wearing a little black dress that showed off her killer legs, her light blond hair cascading down her back in waves. She looked delectable. My tongue ran across my lower lip, moistening it, as I watched her, my heart beat a steady staccato. She looked like an angel, sweet, innocent and unaware of the fiendish thoughts that coursed through my mind.

How I ached to take her there, in front of the fireplace. Her hands braced against the mantel, her legs spread wide as I kneel behind her, nuzzling my face between her ass cheeks, breathing in her heady scent, before plunging my tongue deep into her core. I could just hear the moans she would make, the whimpering in the back of her throat as I tease her. I reached down and adjusted my throbbing stiff cock, watching her had caused my pants to become uncomfortably tight. A sensation I had become accustomed to since meeting her.

I watched her, worshiping her from afar like devoted disciple, graveling on their knees, worshiping their god. She was my god. I ached to be there with her, my body yearned to have her. Yet I sat, still as a statue, in awe of her. I felt my cock begging for release against the restriction of my jeans, pleading to be turned loose. I palmed myself, giving a tight squeeze, remembering how she felt beneath me. An anguished moan escaped my lips. My eyes never leaving her, I stroked my cock, picturing in my mind, all the things I planned to do to her. She slowly turned around, her face in view.

My heart stopped. She looked absolutely beautiful. She had gotten a haircut, her hair cut so that the locks framed around her heart shaped face. Her dress was cut in a deep V in the front, showing off her ample cleavage before plunging down her middle. Her sweet, juicy lips, painted red, stood out against her pale complexion, a soft hue of pink across her cheeks. I had to have her, I couldn’t wait any longer. I turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car, my body moving of its own volition. In a trance, my legs carried me toward her front door while my eyes remained locked on her.

I froze in place, watching as a man appeared in the window, walking into the room with the confidence of a man that has been there before. The easy at which he entered was as if he had done so a million times before. He walked toward My Elena,
two wine glasses in hand. The air sucked from my lungs, leaving me breathless as I watched. He extended a glass out toward her. The smile on his face matched hers, such ease, and familiar. My… Elena... I watched as she smiled lovingly up at him, accepting the glass. A vice griped my heart, pain radiated from the hold, strangling it.

I watched as she took a sip, she gave him a sensual smile over the rim of her glass, the one she would give me before she took my body to soaring heights. That smile promised you everything your heart desired, she always delivered. Knots formed and twisted in my stomach, I was instantly nauseous. I watched as he reached out, the back of his hand caressing her cheek. Bile rose in the back of my throat, I had to fight and choke it down. I watched as she leaned into his touch. I felt the vice in my chest tighten, the painful ache grew turned into a sharp stabbing pain. My feet were rooted to the ground. I couldn’t turn away. My eyes glued to the scene unfolding before my eyes. Like a train wreck, I couldn’t blink, I couldn’t look away. I was frozen in place, forced to watch as my heart was ripped out of my chest, shattered into smithereens.

I watched as the man said something to her and she laughed. My… Elena… laughed... He took her wine glass and set it on the table along with his. As I watched, he took her into his arms. She went willingly, further grinding the shattered pieces of my heart into dust. He bent town and places a kiss on her lips. My throat constricted, my hand absentmindedly came up to my throat, hoping to relieve the pressure. Her arms went around his neck as she drew him in closer; the glint of a diamond caught in the light and shimmered on her ring finger. A ring I had never seen before on her. I had never seen her wear any jewelry.

Pain like nothing I had ever felt lashed through my chest, the knots further tightening in my stomach before recoiling. Rage filled my vision. The one time I give myself to a woman. The one time I thought I had found ‘The One’. She lied to me. She played me. She wanted the bragging rights of bagging a Rock Star and she got them. Tears burned at the back of my eyes, I blinked repeatedly, blinking them back. I refused to cry. I refused to give her this power over me. I watched in absolute horror as the woman I loved played house with another man. A man, that from the looks of it had every right to be there. I had quickly realized I was the hidden secret. I was the intruder. I was just a play thing to her. I HATED HER.

Elena turned in his arms and looked out the window, her eyes drawn to mine like a magnet. She startled as our eyes met. I watched as she paled. Her face went white, her eyes growing to the size of saucers. Her bring red lips forming an ‘O’ of surprise. Yet she didn’t pull away from the man. She clung to him as she stared back out at me. I put all of the pain and betrayal I felt on display. I allowed her to see how she had hurt me, crushed me, and ruined me. It would be the last shred of emotion she would ever get out of me. I glared at her, revealing the hatred I felt toward her and her betrayal before I spun on my heels and got back into the car. I cranked the ignition and peeled down the road, back to the airport. I was done with Phoenix. I was done with Elena.

My head swam as I purchased my ticket to London. I barely heard what the woman behind the counter said as I grabbed my ticked and headed toward the gate. I still had a few hours before my flight took off. What choice did I have but to wait here. If I never saw Phoenix again, it would be too soon. I dug into my pocket for my phone.

Nik: Change of plans. Leaving Phoenix. Headed to London. Time to celebrate our tour with Tink.

  Kiev: WTF?!?!

Nik: When do you guys land in London?

  Kiev: 3am WTF?

Nik: Great I will be just behind you at 10am. Guess I’ll be bunking with you sooner than planned.

Kiev: Are you going to fucking tell me what’s going on?

Nik: Nothing is going on. I’m just ready to get back to my family

  Kiev: Bull Shit

Nik: Things didn’t work out with Elena

  Kiev: Obviously

  Kiev: Did she say no?

  Nik: Didn’t ask

  Kiev: What happened

  Nik: Her husband was there

  Kiev: WTF Seriously?

  Nik: Yup. Let’s get drunk

Kiev: I’ll have a bottle waiting

  Elena: Nik, I can explain

  Elena: We’re getting a divorce

Elena: What hotel are you in?

Elena: Why won’t you answer the phone and let me explain

Elena: Nik, Please. Let me explain

Elena: It’s not what you think. Tell me where you are and I will come to you

  Elena: Please talk to me

I ignored her calls and text and shut off my phone. I leaned back into the hard plastic seat and closed my eyes, waiting for my flight. My head and heart hurt too much to think. I shut off all of my emotions and focused on the tour ahead. Focused on how we would incorporate Katinka into the line-up.

  Chapter Four

When my plane touched down in London, I couldn’t help but breathe a slight sigh of relief. I could finally get off this plane and drowned my sorrows in alcohol. All the heartbreak and anger inside of me ate at my soul the whole trip to London. I couldn’t wait to get out of this tin can. I needed to be with my family. As much as I hated to admit it, I needed them. I grabbed my bag from the overhead compartment and exited the plane.

As I passed through the airport scenes from Phoenix flipped through my mind, flickering through like a movie reel. Images of Elena with her husband. Though I had witnessed it with my own eyes I still couldn’t believe what I had seen. Exiting the airport I found Kiev, Ivan, and Damon waiting for me in front of a taxi. I had never been more relieved to see them before in my life. I noticed that Tosha and Katinka were missing from the group and my spirt dropped slightly. The guys’ faces lit up when they saw me before an empathetic look flashed across their faces, they quickly hid it behind false smiles. I knew they were leery as to what frame of mind I would be in.

I had never been in love before and so they had no idea as to how I would react and neither did I, if we are being honest. I could see the concern lingering in their eyes. Despite the heartbreak I felt, I couldn’t help but to smile back up at them. I knew they would always be there for me. Though it did not mend my broken heart, it warmed my soul. “Hey.” I called out to them, waving my hand in their general direction. They guys ran over throwing their arms around me, ambivalent as to what they should say or do but comforting all the same.

I pasted a false smile on my face and climbed into the waiting taxi. The guys piled in behind me. Knowing alcohol was in order, Kiev gave directions to the driver and we sped off. “Where are Tosh and Tink?” I asked the disappointment in my voice evident. Damon groaned. Kiev smirked and shook his head. Ivan let out a light chuckle. “Tosh is back at the hotel attempting to restrain Tink.” Quirking an eyebrow I turned to face Ivan. “What the hell is he doing that for? What did I miss?” My concern for my sister growing. I never in my life thought Tosha would hurt her, but then again, I never thought the woman I loved would already be married and using me as a side piece.

Rolling his eyes and letting out a huff before his lips quirked up at the sides, he explained. “Well, Kiev told us about what happened and Tink kind of went off the deep end. Tosh had to drag her to the hotel room and lock her in. She was on her way to murder Elena.” I heard a slight trace of humor in his voice, as he tried to stifle a laugh. Kiev piped up. “We would have all been here waiting for you but Tink couldn’t be trusted to be at the airport without running off. She was like a freakin’ Honey Badger. Tosh is all jacked up. She beat the shit out of him, man.” I tried to stifle my own laugh.

As much as I wanted to laugh at the thought of my tiny baby sister kicking Tosh’s ass, I couldn’t, she was ferocious. Well I could, but I probably shouldn’t and released gaffing laugh anyways. I laughed so hard a tear escaped my right eye. “I almost feel bad for the guy. I wouldn’t even cross Tink.” I managed to say between fits of laughter. The image of Katinka’s 5’2 frame against Tosha’s 6’5. He had close
to 200lbs on her as well. “Well I know he has a black eye, some scratched, and he won’t be asking for any special lovin’ any time soon. She really racked him good.” Damon added.

I groaned in disgust. “Damon, God man. Thinking of my sister and Tosh doing anything like that is revolting. Let’s go pick them up before Tink kills his ass. She will be too worried about comforting me to try and board a plane.” I silently hoped I was right. With Katinka there was no telling sometimes. The last thing I wanted was my sisters coddling but I know Tosh would be a dead man if we left him there with her for too long. I just couldn’t risk it, leaving him alone with her for too long.

Kiev informed the driver of the change in plans and gave the address to the hotel. Damon called Tink up on the phone letting her know about my arrival and our plans for the night. He sweetly asked her to bring Tosha down to the lobby with her. Anyone in their right mind would be afraid of Katinka, but Damon was able to get Katinka to do just about anything. He had a way about him that she had a hard time saying no to. Perhaps it was because they were both the babies of the bunch that bonded them together.

We were going drinking together, and that’s exactly what my head and heart both needed. As we pulled up to the hotel Tink and Tosha were exiting the building. Ivan waved an arm out the window, signaling our arrival. We all slid over to make room for them. As Tosh got closer we let out a collective gasp at the marks on his face, he was black and blue. He walked with a slight limp beside the Hellcat herself. I instantly felt bad for Tosha and knew I would have to make it up to him. He saved my sister from a life sentence and took one hell of a beating. From the looks of Katinka, he didn’t even try and defend himself.

I gave Tosha a sympathetic look along with a silent apology as he got in the taxi. His movements were jerky, proving that his face wasn’t the only part of his body she used as a punching bag. I could tell he would have bruises all over his body. Katinka was not one to mess with. The Hellcat herself slid into the car. She climbed over Tosha, intentionally hitting him in the chest with her elbow, without an apology and right into my lap. Tosha didn’t even blink. “I am going to fucking kill that bitch! Tosh wouldn’t let me out of the room. I will kick his ass all over again if he even thinks about locking me up again!” She turned and sent Tosha a death glare over her shoulder. “Hey, he was doing me a favor. I can’t have you locked up in jail when I need you the most. Take it easy on the guy. If he hadn’t kept you from leaving I would have kicked his ass worse for letting you get away.” I tried to reason with her. Katinka glared at me. “I’m going to kill her.” She said with such conviction the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
